Why are facials good for my skin?

How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?

Facials are good because no matter how well you take care of your skin at home,  estheticians are licensed  professionals who have stronger products which are more beneficial to your skin than what you use in your daily skincare routine.  Over time, dead skin builds up and oil gets trapped in your pores. Facials help to exfoliate  the dead skin and extract the oil and any other impurities that may be in your skin. Not to mention all the anti aging benefits facials have as well! Super relaxing too!

The hair needs to be at least a half of a quarter of an inch (a grain of rice) in order for the wax to remove it sufficiently. If the hair is too short, the wax cannot catch it, and many hairs get left behind. To be safe, the hair should be grown out a solid 2 weeks after shaving. DO NOT TRIM!!!

Is waxing better than shaving?

To wax or to shave is a personal preference but in my opinion, waxing is the way to go! With waxing, every time you get waxed, the hair grows back less and less and thinner and thinner! You only need to wax monthly at the most opposed to everyday or every other day with shaving. When the hair grows back, the skin isn't itchy and it doesn't get irritated.  No razor burn either!

What are the different types of bikini waxes?

Is waxing better than shaving?

Everyone is different but after 2-4 consecutive waxes, you should be able to go a solid 2-3 weeks with no regrowth. Sometimes after the first wax you will see hair sooner than you will after your first 3 waxes which is normal. There are 3 different layers of hair which is why it takes 2-4 waxes to see the real result of the length of time each individual can go between waxes.

What are the different types of bikini waxes?

There are 3 main types of bikini waxes. The first is a Bikini wax and it is exactly how it sounds!  A bikini wax is the removal of any hair that is outside of your bikini/underwear line. The next is the Strip or French bikini. This removes any hair outside the underwear line and goes further inward than a regular bikini wax. The Strip bikini is not a Brazilian but can include the bum area if desired.   Then there's the Brazilian or Hollywood wax. This removes all pubic hair from where your pubic hair begins in front to the top of your butt crack where your pubic hair ends . Some hair can be left in the front if requested but if all the hair is removed from the lip area, it is considered a Brazilian wax.

Again, everyone is different but the usual time frame between waxes is 3-6 weeks.  After your first 2-3 waxes it will be evident how often you will need to be waxed.

What is brow mapping and is it worth it?

Brow Mapping is a technique that is used to help find the ideal brow shape on your face.  Multiple measurements of your brows and eyes will be taken to establish your correct brow shape. This is not something that needs to be done at every brow wax or tint appointment.  Once your brow is mapped, your esthetician should be able to work from that mapping for up to 4 months

Lash Filler treatment lasts as long as the lashes themselves do, but as our eyelashes don't all grow at the same rate, it's advisable to repeat the treatment every 5-7 weeks depending on your client's specific lash cycle to ensure that their lashes look their best at all times!

A lash lift isn't permanent and the effects fade with time.  In general, a lash lift lasts for around 4 to 6 weeks, but this can vary depending on your lashes, hormones, the type of lash lift you choose and most important, how well you take care of your lashes after the treatment.
